Who is the most valuable player on a soccer team?

Interestingly enough, soccer and American football have the same number of players on the field = 11.

The biggest difference between soccer and football is the quarterback and the goalie. These are both very specialized positions.

Any good coach well obviously want to play the top 10 players.

However, in soccer you have both offensive players and defensive players on the field at the same time.

It is rare that a football player will play on both offense and defense.

Each team carries 45 to 50 players because the positions are so specialized.

Basketball is similar because you play offense and defense. However, you only start the TOP 5 players.

In baseball, you have 9 players and the hardest position is the pitcher. The starting 8 players typically play every inning and every game.
